WHEN TITLE SONG AND TITLE DON'T MATCH
The title song of the Glenn Ford-Inger Stevens-George Hamilton 1976 western A TIME FOR KILLING is "The Long Ride Home," which was also the film's original title but, for whatever reason(s) was changed for the US release. Later, in 2003, the title THE LONG RIDE HOME was used on a Randy Travis-Eric Roberts-Ernest Borgnine grade "D" western.

I thought the same thing Jangoz. Isn't that Eddy Arnold singing? I saw this film at a Drive-In when it first came out, and am glad I did as it stunk, but at least I was able to give my girlfriend some attention and not have to worry about missing the film for a change.
To me, the movie was a bad "take" on ESCAPE FROM FORT BRAVO.
....and did you recognize a very young Harrison Ford early on as Lt. Shaffner?
